the best lumbar support!

| I do ergonomic adjustments for people at their work stations and have tried numerous lumbar support cushions. This one is by far the most popular and effective in relieving back fatigue. Many cushions like the full roll or even half roll are too big and too firm for most people to use. This one is tapered both on the ends and the top and bottom so it fits more chairs and seats. The adjustable strap helps keep it in place. Many people purchase a second one to use in their car after using it for a while in their office. The price here is the best I could find too. By the way, I use one in my car too! |
McKenzie Super lumbar roll - I like it

| Slightly smaller than a Pringles potatoe chip can, it really helps my lower back while driving for long periods in my car. I ordered the McKenzie standard lumbar roll too and I use that one in my office. It's slightly larger and not as firm as the super but works well. I'm happy with both. If your chair has more cushion, you probably would want the super roll. |
Wonderful for car

This was suggested to me by my physical therapist. It is great for my car and helps me maintain proper curvature of my spine and neck. It helped my neck and back pain to go away!
A wonderful pillow! Definitely a must to buy! |
Back Support

| Had purchased one years ago, but lost it in Hurrican Katrina. Remembered the name and ordered this back support. Wonderful. I sit at a desk all day and needed the lower back support. Do not know what I would do without it. |
Really like it!

I wrapped this around the driver's seat in my Toyota--which already has comfortable seats-- and my lower back thanked me immediately. Depending on where I want some firm support, I can adjust it up, down and diagonally.
Back fatigue is significantly reduced and I really like it |

I drive all day for a living. Rough, pot-holed city streets, different vehicles with different degrees of stability and suspension quality.
The one thing that never changes is that I have taken this lumbar support pad with me every day for about 10 years. It's my second one. I lost the first one.
I originally started using the round, 'roll' type cushions. They felt awkward and were hard to keep in the right position. This one not only felt more comfortable, but was easier to keep in place, and with the velcro strip, usually stayed in place even when I got out of the seat momentarily.
My job is hard on the lower back. I didn't have any serious back problems when I started this career, almost 20 years ago now...and I still don't, unlike many of my associates. I don't know if this support cushion is the *only* reason for that, but I'm certain it's a major contributor. I would be lost without it. After ten years of daily use, it is starting to look a little beat, so I probably should start thinking about getting another one before too long, but I suspect I could probably get another five years out of the one I've got if I wanted to.
Practical, useful, healthful and durable. Well worth the price! |
exactly what i needed

| Though I'm fairly young (33), I have found myself plagued with black problems for the past year. I discovered via an MRI I have a torn disk. To help my recovery, I had to stop slouching while sitting. This support roll is the only thing that keeps me from doing so. It's not as thick as the full support roll, which was too thick for me. I think you're either going to love this or hate it depending on your back and the support you need. If you don't require a large roll but some minor support to remind you to sit up strait I would suggest using this. Though remember, you can't return it so I would test your support needs by using a rolled up towel first. Varying the thickness of the towel until you find the right support for you, then comparing the dimensions that work best for you with what is available on the market. |

I've been using this for a couple of years. The other day my back was very stiff, and woke up the next morning with a very stiff and painfull back. My back even spazemed a little (but not enought to knock my out). After no medications and driving for 3 hours, my back was 90% improved, just by sitting with this pad against my lower back. It REALLY puts your back in the proper position for sitting. Amazing.
Have the strap set low to avoid interfering with side airbags. Wash the cover ever so often (it zips off) |
Great slim back support
|
| Review Date: December 25, 2009 |
| Reviewer: J.T., |
I have moderately severe osteoarthritis and I am about 6ft8 (~203 cm) tall. Needless to say I have problems with back support not lining up with my back in chairs and in the vehicle. As I don't have much space between me and the steering wheel, I bought this slim version back support to help, was using a rolled up pillow before. The full version definitely would be too large and bulky. This works (and of course looks) great! It is firm, but still responsive to pressure. I took off the strap that came with it and just use the Velcro to stick to the back of the seat as I usually move it around (because of space constraints in the vehicle, not because the product is uncomfortable).
I might also use this or purchase another for the office chair or just to lie on in bed! |

Great Lumbar Roll

| I think this lumbar roll is the best one. The elastic strap goes around a chair back and has velcro that holds the roll in place. I have lost rolls from my car because they fall out when I am getting out. Also, it is dense enough foam to give good support without being too hard. |

This is a quality item that delivers what it promises. The price i paid on Amazon was the best i found. |

The Original McKenzie Super Roll Lumbar Roll
|
| Review Date: February 21, 2009 |
| Reviewer: T. Kinney, Southern Indiana |
| As a lumbar roll to support your back while driving, the McKenzie super lumbar roll is the perfect product. This half round pillow is not too small, but just big enough and firm enough to give the right amount of support. I have tried other pillows and cushions with some real disappointment. I strongly recommend this product as a lumbar back support. After all, McKenzie is the man to cure back problems! |

| I just got mine today and I'm very pleased. Very good, adjustable support. I'm using it now on my computer chair, which I didn't think would work, because the chair is a two piece (seat and backrest), and I can't wait to try it in my car, which is the main reason I purchased it. |

| Coming from a healthcare background this lumber roll is a perfect fit for many backs. I helps to maintain the normal curvurture of the spine. It's convenient removable strap will allow you to take it anywhere. I would recommend this for most healthy backs regardless or having a back problem. I use it as a preventive measure to avoid bad body mechanics which usually predisposes people to having back problems. Excellent investment!!! |

| After having sciatica pain bad enough to seek medical attention, a physical therapist suggested among other things, using a lumbar support in my chair. A co-worker recommended this one and it is fabulous. It is a good level of firmness, and the curved shape is very comfortable and supportive of my lower back. |

| This works well. I have been using this for about a month now. I have also been doing some back exercises as well, but my back is feeling better. The strap needs to be pretty tight otherwise you have to adjust it every time you sit down. You will still need to sit properly for this to work, but when you do sit properly it does feel much better. If you slouch though then this won't make a difference. |

| Reviewer: Jack Southern, God's Country, New Hampshire |
This item was surprisingly small and did not fit either of my cars (which is the main reason I bought it). It may work for some types of office chairs - but only ones with full backs. My office uses two piece chairs and so this was useless there as well.
But it is well made and seems to be of high quality. Just not as useful as I thought it would be. |
Disappointed

| Reviewer: J. Kaplan, |
| I found two major problems with the cushion. First, the cushion does not stay in place on my chair (I have a Herman Miller Aeron) no matter how tight I pull the strap. So, I have to constantly readjust the cushion every time I sit down or fidget in my chair. The cushion is also coated in a fleece-like material and makes my back feel very hot as the day goes on. Its been very hard for me to make it through a full day without wanting to remove the cushion. Further, because of the heat, I think I end up fidgeting more than normal. The end result is that rather than helping, I think the cushion has actually made my back hurt more than normal! Very disappointing. |

Uncomfortable

| Review Date: July 4, 2008 |
| Reviewer: James Min, Hawaii, USA |
| This item made me realize that in order for it to be comfortable for a drive (I use it in the car) longer than 30 minutes is to have a gradual 'bulge' rather than what this product does. This item makes it feel like there is a fist in the small of my back after a while. It is very uncomfortable. I've seen lumbar supports that look like a back of a chair (sort of rectangular in shape with gradual bulge). I believe that a shape like that would be more ideal for a comfortable ride. I would not recommend this item. |
Not What I Expected...

| I have a friend who swears by this product, so I bought one. I have chronic back pain, and am always interested in something that will help. However, this actually made my back hurt more! I ended up giving it away. It is very hard...no give to it at all. I have another, bigger, lumbar support made out of a memory foam that works much better for me. |

| I tried this product for about one minute and it was totally inappropriate for my back--way too much curvature--and when I tried to return it I was told that because I "tried" it, it could not be returned--my advice, do not buy this product online because you cannot return it--my local Goodwill happily accepted it. |
