Exactly what I needed

I took a few too many punches to the face during martial training and "telescoped" the cartilage in my nose. The reduced size of my nasal passages made it hard to sleep. I tried "nose cones", but they were uncomfortable and didn't stay in place. The strips make it easier to breathe, and I don't notice them at all.

Expectations and Preparation - Will you breathe right or not??

Working with Breathe Right takes a little practice. But once in place as directed, they really do a fantastic job of opening up the airway (nares) from a nasal standpoint. If you have other upper airway problems that get in the way of breathing, these probably won't help you. I had a deviated septum and a septoplasty 6 months ago. The Breathe Right strips gave me moderate relief before the surgery and now they give me excellent relief from allergies and occasional stuffiness.
You can't expect a miracle from Breathe Right strips, but they are worth a try if you have some stuffiness from allergies and just need to mechanically open up your nostrils a little wider. This is what they were meant to do and this is what they do very well.
A tip I learned to ensure they stay on and don't peel off easily.
1) Clean your nose with an alcohol swab BD Alcohol Swabs - 3 Boxes of 100 or soap and water. Alcohol is quick and easy though and really does the trick. Let the alcohol dry before placing the strip on your nose.
2) Place the strip at the exact angle as suggested in the directions. You may have to experiment with sizes. For me, a Large is best.
Remember, preparation and expectations play a lot into finding out if the Breathe Right method will work for you. Be realistic but also don't be afraid to try. They may be a wonderful adjunct to other therapies or they just might do the trick all by themselves.
Happy breathing to you! |
Breathe Right Works

My wife complained about my snoring and suggested I try the Breathe Right strips. After trying the small and the large found out the large fits me much better. I don't hear myself snore, but since I've been using these I haven't gotten the elbow to the ribs (I always loved that).
Then I tried a Walmart brand (thought I could save some money), but they would not stay on my nose, so I am back to the Breathe Right brand.
The instructions recommend that you prep your nose first (wash), but I don't need to do anything, which is great.
I have been using them for at least a year and have been very happy with them. |

| These "Tan" strips seem to hold better than the clear. My wife and I are sleeping better and seems to have cured a slight case of sleep apnea where our light snoring wake us up repeatedly. |
Can you undersmell what I'm saying?

These little doodads are ingenious. They have that whole let's-open-your-nostrils-and-let-you-breathe aura about them. Having a slight deviated septum, these strips, for me, are the perfect solution.
Albeit not incredibly stylish, it's a small sacrifice for the necessity of night-time breathing. Then again, whose looking at you while you're sleeping?...except God... |
They work for me.

After taking too many elbows in the middle of the night from my wife, I decided to look for something to help with my snoring. I spotted BR at the local warehouse club and decided to give them a try.
The strips do work if you put them on right. I definitely feel better rested on most mornings than before using the strips.
On the down side, you are guaranteed to waste some of the strips. Either you will put it on the wrong spot or you will put it on moist skin. In either case, you will likely have to throw that one away. Also, even when you put them on right, I can't say they work 100%. Maybe 7 out of 10 nights you will get little or no snoring. Breathe Right also offers a snore relief spray too if you are interested:

The only real solution to snoring is to lose weight :-) or see your doctor. But if you want some relief in the meantime, try these out. |

| I highly recommend Breath Right strips to anyone who has difficulty breathing through their nose at night. I have terrible allergies and asthma and it just makes my sleep easier. |
It's no CPAP machine, but BreatheRight does help.

| Since I started using BreatheRight strips I definitely sleep better. I do still snore, but there is much more air going through my nose, which reduces the need to open my mouth. These things aren't free, but I generally think they are worth the cost. |
Product Works. Subscription Makes it Cheaper

At the time of this review this is better priced than some of the others before the subscription. Using the subscription, you get the nasal strips at about 29.75 cents. The only way to know the price is to itemize per nasal strip. It doesn't matter how many come in a box. What counts is only the price per unit, providing the size unit is your size (large, medium or small).
If you shop for the best price right now and are willing to get it by subscription, you can get them for 28 cents per. Even so, it's not cheap enough if you are going to use one every night. The price simply has to come down eventually. That's $102.20 per year for this habit at the cheapest price. And it's just for a little strip that sticks on your nostrils and makes them flare out a little. Of course, this is a great product because it really does help you breathe during sleep, but the manufacturing costs are very low and that gives room to lower the price substantially over time.

If Snoring is wrong, then I don't want to be right

| This helped reduce my snoring, but not eliminate it. I'm a heavy snorer, so I imagine this would work better for someone who is a light/medium snorer. If my girlfriend would just wear earplugs, then I wouldn't have to wear these crazy contraptions. Anyway, it's worth trying it out, but don't expect any miracles unless you buy them from Jesus. |
Expensive, but they work

| These gizmos work wonders. They reduce snoring/apnea by a simple mechanical solution of holding your nostrils open. Much more effective than nasal surgery or decongestants. Unfortunately, they are expensive since there is only one brand. |

| I made a mistake in ordering the wrong size. It seems small to med is a little small for me so I tried the large. Wrong, plus the tan is hard to remove. I need strips to help my night breathing. |
